On the sidewalk, out of breath.
The boy held out his hand, she tried not to take it.
The girl held out her heart, the boy wouldn't break it.
The little stuttering kids were in love.
liar liar, wrap her in piano wire
They were just out</i> of it.
She ran into the cathedral to cure her broken heart.
He walked in ready to tear her apart.
(God helped both of them..)
She looked out the window and saw morning.
He glanced at her and saw she was crying, clutching her chest.
The boy was two steps away from asking her if she was having difficulty breathing when he heard her whispering
"God, I don't know what love is, but I feel like I'm three inches away from it. My heart
isn't beating right and he's the only one who calms me down."
He couldn't believe it. "shut your mouth, shut your mouth" he tells himself.
He was always getting his hopes up too high (with the cost even higher).
He is desperation. because she's everything he loves.
Little boy don't count your never's.
Little girl don't count your goodbye's.
She walked out into the sunlight and with him on her heels the sky turned a darker shade.
Down the sidewalk. (she's out of breath)
Keep going. (she gives up)
She spins around to yell in his face "Why couldn't you just be my sunlight?"
The boy realizes how beautiful she is and tells the truth.
"I don't know what love is either, but I've had this pain in my chest since I met you. And
everytime you look at me my heart stops, but it doesn't hurt anymore.</b>"
She's stunned. (she sighs) And, inevitably, in love.
They decided to give up, held hands, and walked into something that made them smile.

I hope its going to clear up
I hope its going to clear up, it can't continue rain for long. I think I'm going to take a look outside. The drapes always give me a hard time; oh, I think I broke them. Oh well I might as well just go outside. I better put my jacket on so I don't get to wet. Damn stairs, why do I have to live on the top floor. Maybe I should look for a new place, maybe a new city. I love the people here, but I get so damn bored. Maybe I don't evolve here; sometimes it feels like I'm just doing the same thing over and over. Only four stairs left. But I did just move back to this city two months ago, has it really just been two months? Yeah! I guess it's the p

"Hey! Mr. Miller, sir, I have that story you…" He let the door of the elevator close, shutting out the young intern and the rest of the 31st floor. God, he was sick of this place. People always yelling and screaming and running, rushing in and out and every which way, unconcerned about anything except for that ever ticking clock on the wall, sitting high above the bustling employees as if it itself were in fact the manager of the place. Or the overseer. Pushing and pushing them without so much as a word, its foot tapping impatiently as the seconds went by, unheard through the activity below, yet felt all the same. Its black whip raised high t

lessons we do not learn
i was at the airport when i tried to reach you,
telling you secrets bandaged in old news papers.
i guess i was expecting you to hear harder
than the plastic tubes and upsurge onto the first flight out here,
with a plaster and a blue flashing light.
i could not explain how i died there
on the terminal floor, with three men with guns not-looking
and a child running by.
this is what heartbreak is, i thought -- a lack of oxygen,
the force of gravity, loss of bone mass, a cot death,
a bulldozer, an assassination, a loss of faith, brain cancer
and three-day seconds where the world floats by
with knives in its eyes
because nobody see
