"Yes,"
she said.
"you make life beautiful
and loving you is living it in the best way,
it's timeless."
His smile radiates complete happiness as he pulls her into his arms.
"It's like it's always been like this, will be this way forever,"
he breathes in her hair.
They were classic.
Then he met Heroine.
The type that doesn't save people
and he as good as yelled
"Forever is over."
Days, weeks, months, passed and she stayed awake for lonely nights.
One day at dinner she attempted a watery smile
[to wash out a dry conversation]
"Hey boy, I dance on water."
His face remained calm as he muttered
"Hey girlie, I swim in skirts"
Suddenly, she stood up and crossed the room in one quick move.
She opened the curtains to a spacious meadow where the ground was wet and the sky hung low with dark clouds.
He walked past her cautiously and pressed his face against the glass to see a woman standing on a small ladder.
"Her name is Rainy."
He turned his head, but the girl who used to be his everything was gone.
[She finally fell asleep]
He turned back to the meadow and the glass fell away.
He stepped through, drawn to the woman called Rainy.
As he approached her, he saw a basket full of colorful bows that were soaked through.
"I'm hanging the bows on this clothesline.
Grab a pin and wait in line,
they need to dry."
Her back was still facing him.
"But if they dry, they won't be rainbows anymore,"
he replied.
"No. When they start to dry I make it rain again."
He stares at her, confused. "Isn't that pointless?"
Finally, she turns and looks directly at him, her blue gaze burning through him.
"Haven't you ever seen someone work for something and in the end, they're the one that ruins everything?
I make these people;
I made you."
"No!" he whispers as he backs up.
He turns around and rushes through the curtains,
back into his own world.
He goes for a drive with bright blue skies
and finds her lying on a park bench.
She stares up at him and whispers
"We were in love at one time."
He grabs her hand and pulls her to a standing position.
"We're still in love!" he screams.
"What're you talking about? We're still in love!"
It's too late, he realizes:
Rainy's eyes are shining out of her face.
She shakes her head slowly
as she falls back to the earth
and her lips form the word
"No."

I hope its going to clear up
I hope its going to clear up, it can't continue rain for long. I think I'm going to take a look outside. The drapes always give me a hard time; oh, I think I broke them. Oh well I might as well just go outside. I better put my jacket on so I don't get to wet. Damn stairs, why do I have to live on the top floor. Maybe I should look for a new place, maybe a new city. I love the people here, but I get so damn bored. Maybe I don't evolve here; sometimes it feels like I'm just doing the same thing over and over. Only four stairs left. But I did just move back to this city two months ago, has it really just been two months? Yeah! I guess it's the p

lessons we do not learn
i was at the airport when i tried to reach you,
telling you secrets bandaged in old news papers.
i guess i was expecting you to hear harder
than the plastic tubes and upsurge onto the first flight out here,
with a plaster and a blue flashing light.
i could not explain how i died there
on the terminal floor, with three men with guns not-looking
and a child running by.
this is what heartbreak is, i thought -- a lack of oxygen,
the force of gravity, loss of bone mass, a cot death,
a bulldozer, an assassination, a loss of faith, brain cancer
and three-day seconds where the world floats by
with knives in its eyes
because nobody see

Thoughts from an afterthought
I realize now that it was inevitable
I'd be so easy to forget.
Someone (somewhere) checked a box
marked "permanently absent"
and people, these days,
pay strict attention to detail.
Every piece in its proper place,
every memory specifically erased -
this is the way we solve the puzzle.
Correction: this is the way you solve it,
but, when you're not part of the solution,
then you are the problem.
See, that's where I come in.
I am a magnet.
I am a pane of glass.
I am a diversion.
I come in an easy to unwrap package -
it cleans up nice; no mess, no bother.
All for the low, low cost
of an empty word
or an endearing glance.

EEEEHHHH,
I wrote this really poorly.
lemme put it this way..
the way I think of it is 103494954646464 times more beautiful than how i wrote it.
I doubt you can even picture it the same way I did.

boy meets girl meets fall in total love.
he changes. he goes for things that ruin lives.
girl stays with him. even though he goes to other girls&drugs.etc.
one day she pushes him into a rainy world where a lady opens his eyes a little too late.
